Celebrate Canada is an initiative of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamā’at(AMJ) Calgary. AMJ organizes various programs to fulfill its social responsibility to promote national pride and community spirit. It believes in the golden teaching of the Holy Prophet (May peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that Love of Homeland is Part of faith. The Calgary Chapter of the AMJ is also engaged in service to the community through blood donation and Onematch programs of Canada Blood Services, Run for Calgary to collect funds for projects initiated by non-profit/ public organizations and Food Bank etc.

Canada Day Celebrations at Prairie winds Park is one of city’s premier events attended by thousands of Calgarians representing diverse communities and is growing in its magnitude every year.
Representatives from all levels of Government bring Canada Day greetings to the participants.
The highlights of the event include:
Flag Hoisting and National Anthem presented by group of children
Greetings by Federal, Provincial, Civic and Community leaders
Complimentary BBQ/Refreshments
Displays, Educational/ Fun Activities by various City departments
Recreational Activities and Games for Kids
Stalls by various Communities, commercial and Non Profit organizations
Guided Tours of Baitun Nur, one of the largest Mosques in Canada
